Sherry is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with over 25 years of experience providing speech therapy for children and helping young kids and their families unlock the power of communication. Specializing in early childhood communication development, Sherry is passionate about empowering children to express themselves confidently and clearly—whether they are just beginning to speak, need help with speech clarity, or are navigating developmental delays.
With in-depth training in pediatric speech & language disorders, Sherry offers early intervention speech therapy for children ages 1 to 5 with language delays, speech sound disorders, and other communication challenges, as well as articulation therapy for children ages 5 and older. With a warm, child-centered, and play-based approach, Sherry creates a nurturing, supportive environment where children can thrive. Her therapy sessions are engaging and individualized, designed to help kids build essential language skills, expand their vocabulary, produce sounds clearly, and connect more meaningfully with those around them. Sherry excels at motivating children to overcome obstacles while making the learning process fun and rewarding.
As a seasoned professional, Sherry brings a collaborative mindset to her work—having partnered with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive, high-quality care. She holds both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Radford University, is licensed in the Commonwealth of Virginia, certified as an Early Intervention Professional, listed on the Apraxia Kids Directory of SLPs with expertise in childhood apraxia of speech (CAS), and holds a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA).
